The introduction of a Horror Movie

Hi horror fans, today post is about an introduction used frequently in horror films. The intro consists of a point of view shot of the assassin before and through the killing of the first victim.

The analyzed films are Halloween, Jaws and Friday 13th. I do not know what the first film was, as movies have around long time with a long history but I am pretty sure Jaws set the trend for this intro. The films have a similar setting, a young couple enjoying promiscuous relations, with the blond woman dying in a dramatic way.

First, a point of view shot.

Second, images of the couples interacting.

Third element, a point of view shot of the villain getting closer to the victim.

Fourth, a close up of the women screaming.

And a final static image for closing the scene.
1. Halloween uses a crane shot getting away from the actors who stans still giving stability to the shot.
2. Jaws uses a static shot with no movement except for the waves.
3. Friday 13th  u . uses a freeze frame shot and a zooming in.
The End.
How to direct a horror film, how to scare the public, how to create suspense, suspense in horror films, suspense in films, most scaring films, how to make a terror movie, how to make a gore film. Greatest horror films."Shi Ge Ryu". Shi Ge Ryu.
