Nixon as a Symbol of Evil

Hi, horror fans, just like my previous article on Communism, this article is focused on Nixon as a symbol of evil.

Richard Nixon is regarded as one of the most corrupt presidents in the history of the U.S., The Watergate scandal damage his credibility and image forever, it is considered one of the most shameful moments in the white house.

So now, here are some examples of how Nixon is used as a symbol of evil, or how Hollywood use it to associate their evil characters with him.

The Simpsons

In one of the many appearances Nixon made in the animated T.V. Series, in the episode Three House of Horror IV as one of the members of the jury.

Futurama

Nixon plays a prominent role in Futurama, he is elected president of the earth and in many episodes He plots several destructive,  evil plans. 

Back To The Future 2

In a newspaper for the dystopic, evil and apocalyptic 1985, that Biff created, you can read an article of Doc. Brown being declared insane, “A Crackpot Inventor Declared Legally Insane”, you can also read an article about Nixon seeking Fifth term on the right column.

Watchmen

In Watchmen there is a pretty similar situation to that of Back To The Future, it is a dystopic, apocalyptic universe where Nixon has managed to stay in the white house with disastrous consequences for the world.

Misery

When Paul Sheldon left his room and o found Annie Wilkes scrap book album of all the past murders committed by Annie, He founds a pennant supporting Nixon, therefore associating an evil character with their support for Richard Nixon.
