Friday 13th: Final Girls, Final Survivors Part 1, 1980

Hi everybody!

So for all you who like Slasher Films, this will show you who are the “Final Girl” or the “Final Survivor” through all The Friday 13^th series.

 What is a Final Girl?

Well a Final Girl is a trope in thriller and horror films (particularly slasher films). It refers to the last woman alive to confront the killer, ostensibly the one left to tell the story. The final girl has been observed in dozens of films, including Alien, Halloween, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, and also appears in other genres.

Now that you know what is a Final Girl or Final Survivor lets remember those of the Friday the 13^th franchise.

Friday the 13^th (1980)

Alice is the first final survivor, unfortunately She does not get too much screen time, Alice does shows her consciousness in the dialogue with her romantic partner while their relation is showing problems.

What a better way than show her in a virginal innocent way than having a romance with an older man coming out of the dark.

Alice is able to avoid the vices of her colleagues, She does not have sex or shows  a lack of decency. 

Just when She is about to take her shirt off. The storm saves her.

Alice emascualtes herself and is able to kill the villain.

She becomes masculinized through "phallic appropriation".

 By the end Alice has become afflicted with a Psychological disorder.

But - then he's still out there.

It is important to realize that being the first movie in the franchise the assassin is not actually Jason but instead Mrs. Voorhees.
